The literal meaning for this famous adage and proverb would be that pain be it physical or mental cannot be avoided, but how do we react to it gives the way to our suffering. Suffering is optional for we may somehow avoid it by looking at it with a positive and broad outlook. From a mindfulness perspective, it is important to differentiate pain and suffering because however unavoidable pain is, we certainly have some leeway when it comes to suffering.
Embrace Change:
Nothing is permanent and eternal in this life. Only change is constant and permanent. Sometimes in life, there may come a situation when you see no goodness in a change. But in the end, we never know why is this happening and what positivity it may bring in our lives. So it is always better to accept and embrace the change.

We all humans have a tendency to portray ourselves as the biggest victims of sadness. For example, if we are going through a breakup, we may say that this can’t happen to anyone else.
